It has been used widely since the 1800's without the medical community ever being avle to work out why it works so well! As far as we are concerned, it doesn't matter. The fact is, it works, and it works very well indeed. So much so that many people swear by it. Coal tar shampoo is applied like any other shampoo but generally left on for a specified amount of time until it is then rinsed out thoroughly.
